Koya-san 高野山
Mount Koya (高野山 Koya-san) in Wakayama Prefecture (和歌山県),First settled in 819 by the monk Kūkai, Mt. Kōya is primarily known as the world headquarters of the Kōyasan Shingon sect of Japanese Buddhism
Fukuchi-in is a "shukubo" or Buddhist Temple (of ryokan styles) for guests who wish to stay on Mount Koya. This large, beautiful temple has Japanese-style rooms and both indoor and outdoor baths for the guests. Fukuchi-in serves "shojin" cuisine which is traditional Buddhist vegetarian cuisine.
