Full lunar eclipse

Taken at the peak of the lunar eclipse - we had about 15 minutes of totality. The background stars are at the head of the Scorpio constellation. I should note that, although the eclipsed moon and colour can be seen with the naked eye, this has been brightened quite a bit. Other images in PiPs.

In the hope it may prove useful to others taking photos of eclipses, I've written a short article to accompany these images, giving further details and notes..

A wonderful set of pictures George. It was a very clear sky last night here and I noticed how low and beautiful the moon looked.
