Pictures for Pam, Day 196: Bikes at Bullard's Bay Dock

(+2 insets!)

EEK EEK! It's another late post! :D Not my fault! STUFF HAPPENED! :D Can't type much tonight!

Today was another driving day! We left our wonderful site at Devil's Lake and drove several hours back down the coast to the Bullard's Beach State Park Campground for one night's stay as we begin to make our way back towards home.

We got into camp at about 4:30 and fast forward, we got our bikes out and took a ride around the campground and then out to the beach where we laughed our heads off trying to ride our bikes on the wet sand! FAIL! So funny! It Doesn't Work! You must have really fat tires, which we don't have, heh!

Then we road over a short distance to the bay and oh my it was so beautiful! My main picture shows our bikes on the dock with a beautiful local bridge behind! Insets are a couple of views from another spot in two directions. SO LOVELY! Our bike ride was soooooo much fun! We will definitely be back to this pretty place!

Pam, I can't write now but you are in my thoughts as well as in Steve's! *BIG HUGS*

Il semble que ce fut une belle ballade à vélo ! Superbes capture de ce qui semble être les vestiges d'une précédente crue de cette rivière ! Bon week-end Janet !

Very nicely composed Janet. Your bikes make a great point of interest and the poles make lovely leading lines to the bridge in the background. Beautiful diffused light and a moody sky, complete the image perfectly. Nice one..!!

I love the two PiPs as well...........such lovely views in both directions. I hope you grabbed some of that driftwood - it would look lovely in a garden and it's very photogenic.

Glad you managed to fit in a bike ride after your drive to the new camp site and that it was so enjoyable. I'm still smiling after reading about your attempts to cycle in soft sand - it sounded like wheely good fun :-)) (Sorry)!

What a gorgeous place there, Janet. It looks so beautiful. I can see that there is some damage to some trees, maybe from a flood or something like that. I am delighted to hear that you have found another wonderful place to explore at another time. Were you at all bothered by midges? I've been bitten here so many times, but not only midges but also mosquitoes!!! I'm almost covered with plasters!!!! Went swimming in the sea today - fabulously cool, but I'm sunburned on one side of my body - a tad lop-sided!!!! So tomorrow, when we are at the sea - I'll lie facing the other way!! To try and even up the colours.

That's the beauty of an RV. You can enjoy such beautiful places to the full. The flowers in the vegetation look so decorative and the driftwood would make a great camp fire. I never can resist collecting some interesting pieces to take home too .
