Lower Blue Lake

Another of those generic names-- This is a PG&E (Pacific Gas & Electric) reservoir in the headwaters of the Mokelumne River, in California's Sierra Nevada. It drains westward, eventually reaching the Sacramento. Insets show views a bit more to the right. I caught a kayak in the pic to the left, but I guess it adds visual interest!
