Abandoned
Nolay is a small medieval village with about 1400 inhabitants near Beaune/Bourgogne. It has a market place of 14th century and nice wooden framed houses in the historical center. But many people - especially the young ones - leave because there is not too much work in this region. Many houses are abandoned and you can see a lot of signs 'to sell' on the walls. Tourism is very small there; most of the people only drive through to see the more spectacular places in Bourgogne. On the other side you find a lot of artists with their ateliers there because the rents are very cheap. So it's really worth to visit.
