Fall Foliage and Cumbres and Toltec Steam Locomotives

After our day's tour on the Cumbres and Toltec railroad, we spent the next day driving along the track area, and stopped at an overlook, waiting. The double-header came through the trees (with fall foliage), working uphill from Chama, New Mexico.

Great sight.

Robert Swanson replied to Anni:

The locomotives were working very hard, most of what you see is coal cinders! My wife got one in her eye. That part of the experience was not fun.
