The very popular town for tourists - Bakewell - in Derbyshire.. the home of ''Bakewell pudding''....
this footbridge crosses the 'River Wye' from the town to the car parks.. it would be difficult to find space to snap just one more padlock at any point along the rails.
A nicely composed and detailed pair of images David. The extra weight on the bridge must be phenomenal. There have been cases near where I live where the locks were removed by the local authority because they were compromising the safety of the bridges structure............although this particular bridge looks pretty sturdy!
Thanks Keith... yeah this renowned 'lock bridge' must be one of the most cluttered anywhere.. I often wonder if they'll ever be removed.. I suppose it'd be a shame sentimentaly for anyone who has visited from the other side of the globe .. // Keep well and go steady from > Dj.
