A ''HFF'' to everyone..... from Dj... at the 1770 'Stonedge chimney'

A local landmark near Chesterfield UK. is this 55ft tall gritstone chimney. The site had furnaces for smelting metals and complex flue systems - long disappeared - but still traceable.
The site is a scheduled ancient monument and the chimney believed to be the oldest industrial chimney in the UK circa 1770.

Have a fine ''HFF'' everyone - keep well - and 'Good wishes' - from > David J.

Mooie dagen verder David!

A very "English' scene with those dry stone walls, David. It's interesting to try to imagine how this scene would have been two centuries ago! HFF and best wishes for the weekend.

I am pleased it has been saved David. Must preserve our industrial history. Sadly the Cow & Gate chimney in Wincanton was demolished in the 1980's. Superb shot.
HFF and wish you a good weekend,
Rosa.
