Return to Winnats'... View East.

A start out at 05.45... a 40 minutes drive - then a 40 minute scramble (with stops ! ) up the sludgy slopes ... takes us back to 'Winnats pass' - west of Castleton - Derbyshire - Here at 08.15 we are looking East from the south side of the gorge. The actual sun up' - which we hoped to capture.. is still below the rocky outcrops.... Dj.

David G Johnson replied to Roger (Grisly):

Thank you Roger... I wanted to capture more of the foreground below... but to slip over the edge... would have meant a vertical plummet of around 300 ft... to certain death... and worse than that.... I might have fell on and injured a sheep...
Cheers and best wishes to you.. from David J'
