No time to stand and stare... ヅ (with PIP)

("... a little poem by a welsh poet W.H Davies.
It's short, but has plenty of imagery you can pick out to make an image that fits the poem.")

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But I had time to stand and take pictures! ;-)
Children just have a way of enjoying life in the moment don't they. Pleasant image and fitting for the poem. :)
Children don't stand and stare, but they have all the time in the world and live life to the full regardless. Delightful.
Stevia replied to Amelia:
Yes, you are right, Amelia! Sometimes I wish back for me such relaxed moments, where time does not matter! ;-) As a child you live very intensively in the here and now and normally do not have to burden yourself with the problems and worries of the adults.
und Kinder haben sowieso immer Zeit, um die tollen Dinge des Alltags zu entdecken. Wir sollten es ihnen viel öfter gleich tun! Ein wundervolles Frühlingsfoto
Stevia replied to Chrissy:
Danke schön, Chrissy! Ja, der Alltag eines Kindes kann voller interessanter Entdeckungen stecken, die es zu erforschen gilt. Wie Amelia oben im Kommentar schon richtig sagte, haben Kinder alle Zeit der Welt. Ich denke, uns Erwachsenen fehlt sie meistens, da wir durch Alltagspflichten zeitlich zu sehr eingespannt sind. Vieles, was uns zwischendurch erfreuen würde, läßt sich aus Zeitmangel leider nicht bewerkstelligen. Vielleicht erst dann wieder, wenn das Berufsleben vorbei ist!? ;-)
