Nightfall in Lyme Regis ~ HFF
HFF from Lyme Regis, Dorset. In the distance is the harbour wall, known as The Cobb, which was originally built as both breakwater and harbour, using oak piles infilled with large boulders. However, it was prone to storm damage and was indeed destroyed by a storm in 1377, after which it was rebuilt in blue lias limestone.
