Bee on Antirrhinum

So far I have only managed to catch the rear end of a bee in decent focus! I tried many times as it went from flower to flower, but no luck! The PiP is an antirrhinum from a part of the garden that is left to reseed each year.

A pair of lovely shots Rosa, so very colourful! I know that feeling, they are not the most cooperative of creatures;-))

Enjoy your day, Doug

Rosalyn Hilborne replied to Doug Shepherd:

You're right Doug, they are not. I saw a beautiful small blue butterfly in the garden on Sunday and it was also most uncooperative ;-) Thanks for your kind comments.

All the best, Rosa.

Really lovely flowers, Rosa. The color is absolutely gorgeous, as is the velvety texture that your superb photo shows. The bee is icing.

I love your main image Rosa.........especially the bee's bum, which is a pretty normal view of a bee on this type of flower (foxgloves as well for instance). It's nice and sharp where it needs to be and you can clearly see the pollen it's collected. I like the out-of-focus background and colours too.

The PiP is really beautiful and super sharp. Nice colours too and a gorgeous background.

We used to call these Snapdragons as kids and you could squeeze the sides of the flower and make the "dragon's mouth" open and shut.
