Rosalyn Hilborne replied to Nick Weall:

It is always peaceful Nick. I don't think it's very well known. Sadly the mill is a ruin.

Very nice scene Rosa; we have an area named Cut Mill in Surrey, never knew of another, until now!

Rosalyn Hilborne replied to Roger Dodger:

Thank you Roger. Apparently cutt or cut is a middle English word for water channel.

A lovely rural scene. There is a Cults mill in Fife too but I've only visited it once and have no recollection of what it was like. Not as pretty as this. There's a hamlet called Cults not far away too.

Nicely composed and well captured from a bridge over an old mill stream I assume Rosa,
Sadly the romance of a thatch cottage is outweighed by it's maintenance costs these days

I'm afraid we don't have an area called Cutt Mill.............but I'm working on it :-))

Beautifully composed Rosa. I love the use of the bridge to lead the eye into the image. The lush green colours are lovely and I like the look of the thatched house. I can't tell if the other building is an extension of the house or a separate building, but it looks like it has some great views! Lovely sunshine too.........all we had yesterday was rain and heavy winds.

Rain here today as well :-(

You had me panicking then Rosa. I think, like me, you see lots of fences on your travels and so don't need to ration them. A great shot all the same. Well done.
