Druley Hill ~ Somerset

Driving along Druley Hill, I had to stop and take some pictures of the beautiful wild foxgloves, which have taken over from the blanket of bluebells earlier in the year.

They do seem to be in abundance this year, and look lovely in this woodland landscape Rosalyn.

The beautiful purple of the foxgloves stands out well from the darker tree trunks, Rosa. I love the gap between the trees that allows a keek at the distant landscape. Cheers, Joe

Thank you very much Joe. The view beyond this on the way to Frome, which I believe you know from long ago. Cheers, Rosa.

What a great find Rosa............i don't think I've ever seen so many growing wild in the same place! The stand out nicely above the foreround greenery and against the darker background of the trees. The light is quite lovely too.

Rosalyn Hilborne replied to Keith Burton:

This was just a few of them Keith. I would have liked to get into the forest, but from that road it was very steep.
