HFF from the Queen's barge ~ London Olympics 2012

Gloriana is a British royal barge. She was privately commissioned as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II for her 2012 Diamond Jubilee, and was the lead vessel in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.

She was lying here within close proximity to the London Olympics

A great shot Nick. I remember watching it all on TV when it was travelling along the Thames in dreadful weather, if I remember rightly.

HFF and wish you a good weekend ~ Rosa.

Nick Weall replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Hi Rosa I remember that too. Prince Phillip developed a chill as a result. I think that it was here by the Olympic site for another occasion as it certainly was not the river pageant day. I was down the Olympic site as a visitor on the day I took this shot.
Thanks for your good wishes. Hanwe & Stay Safe

Yes she rows it up and down the river Thames before breakfast each morning when she is in residence at Windsor Castle. That is how she keeps so trim don't you know?
