Mont Aiguille

When Panoramio worked it was easy for me to keep track of all my hundreds of thousands of images.
Now I forget where this is exactly, but it was always a favourite sight for me when moving south
Andy Rodker helped me to find it again

Dolomites?
Great shot anyway,
I know the problem and so I always map mine and add enough in the way of keywords to avoid it.

Nice thought Andy, but I should have mentioned that it is in France, possibly off the Route Napoleon nearing the alps

Hi Nick,

I was very impressed when I saw this picture. It is wonderful.
I have no idea where it is either, maybe since you have such a nice picture, others will have done
the same, so perhaps a Google image search?

Best wishes

Nick Weall replied to Peter_Private_Box:

Oh dear ~~~ Peter you are so well travelled that I thought there would be a chance that you would know. I have passed it several times over the years. How would I search for the image in google images I wonder? ~ All the best ~ Nick

Hi Nick,

I tried for you, but no luck.. Of course there are millions of pictures of mountains, so slim chance of a good match.
Next idea, think where you have been, and use Google streetview to look along the routes...

Best wishes

Nick Weall replied to Peter_Private_Box:

Thanks Peter for another good suggestion, the only trouble is I've travelled over most of the roads in Southern France whilst doing all of the Tour De France Mountain climbs and generally exploring the Alps and Pyrenees :~)

Can see why you like the scene Nick, I'm sure it's not Ben Nevis or Mount Snowden so sorry can't help you.
