Hello Maurice, yes yes a shame indeed. I went in this house so many many years ago, when a precious lady lived here who was known for her baking and decorating cakes etc. when she passed, her daughter, who was married into another family, I guess decided not to keep the house in top form. It was old back then, but well kept, and of course you see it now...I think our whole town wonders why this nice home was left to deteriorate like this...maybe because it is only one block from a main down town street, they thought no one would want this home???? I have no idea...AND it could have gotten bad enough in its interior that the cost here might have been more than they wanted to invest.... thanks for your interest here.
Hey Fusun, thank you for your visit here....Yes it was a lovely old home for many many years I am told...Ive watched it deteriorate in my life time...so sad. ( See my reply to Maurice)
Best wishes, Sarah
Hello my dear Sarah what a sad sight indeed ... such a shame to let this lovely old home get to this state .. the roof and indeed windows look all in quite good order so possibly the inside is not so ruined after all ... it would certainly be nice to let this home go to someone that would restore it and return it to the once lovely family home it was ..
Hey dear Steve, I would SO LOVE to know the story on this home. YES indeed, I wish this could have gone to someone who would really want to fix it up , restore it and then be so proud they put forth the effort. I just have not been around the right person to ask all these questions! maybe one day!! thanks for your visit and comment dear Steve.
A lovely but large old house Sarah, renovation is probably not now cost effective which is a shame,
A very nice and interesting capture Sarah, thank you for sharing
Hey Roger, you may have the reason that this old home is being ignored ! the Cost ! But it would seem that someone would have had the money to buy it, fix it up for sale, or rent it.??
thanks, Roger.
Hey there dear Nick.. always good to see you drop by. Yes I see what you mean about the appearance here.:( so Sad! Yes indeed, I WILL watch to see what happens here, I pass it very often when heading into town... thanks Nick. Hugs returned !
Always sad to see such a lovely house in such a poor state. Hopefully someone will take on the task of restoring it to become once again a beautiful home. Possibly a big sale also for the local white paint supplier if this should occur. Very nicely captured Sarah.
