The fields of St Day

Another snow scene from my walk the other day. The snow lasted no more than 24 hours.
Sight and Sound; Janis Joplin again and I feel her voice was at its best here. At least this is one of my favourite recordings. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bn5TNqjuHiU

Andy Rodker replied to Pam J:

They change their selection of real ales on a regular basis, Pam and usually have at least 5 good ones on the go at any one time. Last week I enjoyed Timothy Taylor's 'Landlord' and this week i've enjoyed Abbott Ale, which at 5% abv is stronger than I would usually have but it's delicious and I only ever have the time to down one pint and I don't drive there so I indulged myself!

"Summertime" over a lovely snowy landscape at dusk (or dawn?), now there's a facetious spirit!
Her voice and blues are indeed magical here, as is your delightful capture.

You know, Eric, I completely missed the irony at the time!

The Star Inn still has the light to guide you there Andy.
A good shot and information.
Sunday greetings.

Andy Rodker replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

When I first highlighted the Star Inn on a prev photo I was only sixty % certain it was actually the pub and not a nearby farm! But I have guessed right!

Quite a moody image with this very subdued shadow lighting. It certainly conveys a cold feel about the scene. Nice lighting in the distant sky.

Have a great day and thanks for sharing with our UK Landscape Photography Group , Herb.

Wonderful countryside to go a wandering - even with the snow there. Has any more snow fallen since then? We've not had any yet. I suppose I should be grateful, but I do like to see the snow.
