Poppy field

Near my current home in Algete but I wasn't living here when I took this shot. It was taken on a visit to my sister's then home in a flat in Algete town. I have very probably posted this before but I felt it was worth another airing!

They have here too, Peter. These were growing in 2015 and I have seen very few since. The farm was bought by a more 'progressive' farmer to whom poppies are poison!

Just got back from the shops, an hour of walking there and back and uphill a lot of the way. I'm not the quickest of walkers at the moment but I'm getting there!

Sadly, Pearl, a new farmer has got rid of them all. This shot was taken in 2015 and I haven't seen fields of poppies here since then. :o(
