Cabrera supongo que vendrá de cabra (animal) pues por su topografía y configuración rocosa es muy adecuada a estos cuadrúpedos ungulados que se desenvuelven bien en este medio.
Se dice de las piedras que son materia inanimada, pero en la foto parece que están vivas.

I have walked here 100s of times in 10 years but only seen ibex (mountain goats) on one occasion and then I saw 4 separate family groups across the sierra!
Somewhere I would ALWAYS want to scramble, Eunice! The rocks are stable enough and the friction of the granite is perfect for good mountain footwear. But I won't cross here after rain or if there has been ice recently!
