Dawn, one Christmas

Taken on Boxing Day morning a year or so ago. A lovely scene to wake up to. And I wouldn't have guessed at the time that a year later I would be living here!

The first time we stayed over at my sister's new home at Christmas (the year before last). Now I live here. And my girlfriend lives in Madrid! It's a long story but Covid messed arrangements up big time!!!
Thank you, Jean!

I'm not sufficiently expert at photography to comment on your observation about photography in foggy conditions but interesting what you say! As far as The Battle of Waterloo is concerned, I am puzzled but presume you are referring to a painting you have seen. Maybe the famous one withthe charge of the Scots Greys, commonly known as Scotland Forever, by Elizabeth Thompson, Lady Butler.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotland_Forever!
But the sky doesn't seem quite right, so maybe another one?
