I'm not sufficiently expert at photography to comment on your observation about photography in foggy conditions but interesting what you say! As far as The Battle of Waterloo is concerned, I am puzzled but presume you are referring to a painting you have seen. Maybe the famous one withthe charge of the Scots Greys, commonly known as Scotland Forever, by Elizabeth Thompson, Lady Butler.
