Cancho de La Bola. Home of vultures. There's one soaring above La Bola itself; that white guano-stained boulder at the top. Taken from a snowy GR10 (long-distance path from Lisbon to Valencia).
This shows a middle section of La Sierra de La Cabrera.

Many thanks, Peter. The mountain is craggy and fun to walk on but it's not all that tall (about 4,000 feet I would guess - but it looks more like 2,500 because the plain below is already 1500 ft high).

A winter shot as evidenced by the snow in the shady foreground and the blue sky (it's never this blue in summer, too much haze and pollution from Madrid which is a bit too close really!)
