Granite scenery near Zarzalejo, in Madrid Province. A fine day for a walk in the country, vaguely following a Roman road.

In the distance the Sierra de Guadarrama. The Roman road probably passed slightly to the right of here; the modern path goes straight ahead as you see at the left of the shot.

A lovely scene with a great distant view. No matter where you go there seems to be a Roman road.

Andy Rodker replied to Jean:

It's the same Roman road, Jenny, just from different viewpoints and angles and locations! I guess i walk about 10 miles of it twice a year and so that gives scope for plenty of different viewpoints!

Est-ce que par hasard le granite de la région
n'est pas exploité ?( vu la quantité et la disponibilité).
Bonne fin de nuit.

Andy Rodker replied to Malik Raoulda:

It has been quarried for centuries, Malik. The streets of Madrid are paved with it! Quarrying today does continue but in the less scenic places.

A nicely composed and taken shot Andy. I love the detail in the stone walling and the light is lovely! A great job!
