The granite of La Machota Chica.

Near the summit after the exposed (but safe) scramble up a long slab. At the summit there are good views over the palace of San Lorenzo de El Escorial but unfortunately mine were too blurred to show.
Although this was on October 21, it was extremely hot. I was relatively fit in those days but I was absolutely shattered at the end of the day!

Fantastic picture - the sky is amazing. The stone looks as if it's very precariously balanced.

Andy Rodker replied to Jenny McIntyre:

Thank you, Jenny. This stone is more securely balanced than many!!! You know my picnic table, I'm sure!

A super shot Andy. The light on the rocks is lovely.

Some nice shade under that balancing rock...............if you're brave enough ;-)

Hi Andy

Great shot, and (as always) great respect in climbing up there. Were you ever tempted to dislodge the rock? MMMMMM

Best wishes and a good week ahead!
