Encinas, El Escorial

The ubiquitous holm oak, or encina in the Bosque (wood) de Herreria, near the monastery palace of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, seen through the trees, Mount Abantos behind. Madrid Province. A few weeks later, with leaves on the trees, getting a view of the palace is far harder!

This is excellent Andy...............the detail in the trees is wonderful as is the silvery grey colour.

I always struggle to get decent photos of trees...............but you've done a super job here!

Andy Rodker replied to Leon_Vienna:

It's possible Leon. However, I have taken so many from these woods in the direction of the palace that most have yet to see the light of day anywhere!
