Indeed, Eunice. I always try and time at least one walk for the lavender season but don't achieve success with the timing every year. But I always find other things, if i've missed the lavender, such as wild lupins, tulips, cistus, orchids, etc), so I don't do too badly!!

Beautiful Andy! I quite like the look of the Spanish Lavender and I seem to be seeing it a lot in this country lately.

It could be French lavender, they look exactly the same. See my reply to roeli above!
