Edvard Munch (born December 12, 1863 in Løten, died January 23, 1944 in Aker) was a Norwegian painter, graphic designer, early representative of expressionism. He is a internationally renowned Norwegian visual artist.
His best-known composition, The Scream (1893), is part of a series The Frieze of Life, in which Munch explored the themes of love, fear, death, melancholia and anxiety.

You are probably right. And that is a pitty. He had an enormous productivity. I can not wait until the new Munch museum opens in 2020...
