Twin bench with a view (PiP)

This bench in High Ham boasts a fabulous view eastwards. The reason there is no house built here may well be due to the extremely large pylon immediately to the right as you sit on the bench.

HBM all, have a great week.

PiP; The View. Judicious cropping got rid of the unwanted electricity lines!

A great bench and the stone fits beautifully with the stone wall in the PiP. What a lovely view of the surrounding area Maggs. With the gently rolling hills beyond the wall you could be forgiven for thinking this was Lake District countryside.

HBM and have a lovely new week

Always difficult to portray the full picture of these benches without doing what you have done in furnishing a splendid Pip view. Well done.

HBM, remain safe. Herb

Sturdy benches with a nice view. What more could one want?
HBM and enjoy the hot week ahead.

MaggsMep replied to Amelia:

Easy - a G&T from the pub a few yards away - which unfortunately doesn't have the view.
Maybe I'll take a ready prepared one with me if I decide to go again!!

HBM & a good new week.

PS. I have posted the reply I have had under my picture of the key, in Bruton.

What a brilliant story from Fran about The Key - and you were so right to title the image a wind up. I think it's great in these times that people still indulge in whimsy.

It's really a wonderful view from these benches, they must be often busy with hikers. HBM Maggs.

MaggsMep replied to Christa1004:

It's cyclists on this particular road - too narrow and high hedged for hikers. But yeah, very busy at this time of year tho' I didn't have to dispossess anyone from the benches ...
