I thought for a very brief second that this fine shot was of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, but it's not. Where is it please, Marije!

Zamora capital. La catedral es románica pero tiene un claustro renacentista, muy austero que ciertamente recuerda a El Escorial. Y curioso, fue construido en el siglo XVII y le hubiera correspondido ser barroco, quizás fue a finales de siglo cuando el clasicismo y el racionalismo comenzaron de nuevo a emerger. Fue diseñado por Juan de Ribera Rada en estilo escurialense o herreriano.

I'm happy that I saw the stylistic resemblence! It certainly seems worth a visit. I'll have to persuade my girlfriend to have another weekend away; perhaps The Sierra deFrancia, Zamora and back to Madrid via Ribero de Duero and some winetasting! I'll have to work on it!

I like your perspective and the sky adds to the lovely architecture.
