Studley Royal Water Gardens ~ Seven bridges valley

An extension of the Studley Royal Water Gardens following the River Skell out of the gardens. A delightful walk by the river and over these bridges to be greeted by yet more. There were seven bridge once but now only five remain.

Ps did you go all the way round the boundary of the abbey or just the valley and back.

Herb Riddle replied to TOZ:

Glad you liked this one Gordon. A fine little walk here with bridges like we both enjoy to photograph. We only walked to the gated boundary up here before retracing our steps and returning via the Temple of Piety path. That was because the top path you talk about here was closed for repairs after bad weather land-slippage and tree fall. We missed many places including the big deer park which I believe is great in Autumn mist.

Hope you get there. Herb

A lovely capture there Herb,.. it looks good for a walk about and explore,..we have been to 'Fountains' twice but ran out of time to venture far from the Abbey... // Cheers''.. from > Dj.

Herb Riddle replied to David G Johnson:

Thanks Dave. Yes the whole area of the Abbey and park is massive and really needs a few trips. We really only explored most of the valley bottom area along the river. Most people did not see as much as us though. Hope you managed to see my other Abbey photos here.

Cheers. Herb

I really like these two stone bridges Herb..............and you've captured them very nicely. It looks a bit gloomy there at the moment, but I'm guessing the whole park will be transformed once the trees get their leave and the sun somes out!

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Aye, a bit of blue sky and shadow would have worked wonders as too with mist, rainbows and golden hour shots but, as you know, we have what we have and we cannot always hang about for perfect conditions. Glad you liked this view nonetheless.
