Re yesterdays photo: Is it a Wren or a Robin?

Yesterday I posted two views of this bird which raised the question as to what breed it was. One or two of you asked in which way were the tail feathers pointing? Up for a wren, down for a Robin. I think this answers the question.

Herb Riddle replied to Marta Wojtkowska:

Thanks Marta but it must be a Robin, as the tail feathers on a wren points upwards.

Wrens often hold their tails upright but not always. And this one is a baby yet :)

Thanks for this Keith, proving, I think your theory of this being a robin.

Lovely, tender captures of the little robin/wren (aren't wrens really tiny? size might help in telling them apart). I don't seem to be able to visualise the second pip, unfortunately!
Belated HFF, Herb!

Herb Riddle replied to Annalia S.:

Yes, might have known it was a robin as they are so tame and nt afraid of humans. So glad you like it. As you say, a wren would have been even smaller. OK Annalia, I have re-posted the PiP here and it seems to be OK now. Was acting strange before.

In that, we both agree. You see now that I snapped a few of this whilst I could. This fence is the one along the top of Dovestones reservoir.

Podría ser un petirrojo (Robín) que por ser pollo aún no tenga el pecho rojo. Los chochines efectivamente tienen la cola vuelta hacia arriba y son pájaros más pequeños.
