Sheep shall safely graze

I finish this week’s photos as I started this series of winter scenes, with another sheep photo. These sheep have not realised there is a nice pile of hay for them just a few hundred metres away. For me, the warm light glistening on the top coats as well as getting the attention of this close sheep makes the picture. The sun is to get a little lower and me a little higher on this hill before its back to a nice warm house and meal.
I hope you have enjoyed this mini-series of my winters in Oldham

Herb Riddle replied to TOZ:

Hi again Toz. As you can see here, that one hour up near Binn Green was a very successful photographic time. Glad you enjoyed this series too. I got to realise just how many splendid winter shots I had from around Dovestones and also my local area, during my big sort out cull.
Back to your favourite Whitby tomorrow.

Have a good week. Herb

A lovely image to end this series on Herb..............the rim-lighting on the sheep is beautiful and I really like the dry stone wall which is accentuated by the snow.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Great that you too enjoyed this series Keith. Many of these were quite old and had once been in Panoramio but on looking through my Ipernity photos I realised that they were not here -so corrected now. Good that you saw with the light on the sheep the same as me.

Have a good week. Herb
