Whitby harbour scene from the West Pier
And finally we have here a view from the pier walkway itself, looking back into the old town of Whitby. The main part here on the right is actually known as the new town. It used to be that the harbour quay was lined up with fishing boats waiting to unload their catch but today, almost empty. Even the visitors have almost disappeared in these days of Covid, little were we to know that things would get worse not better. Ah well, rest awhile and enjoy this view with me in safety.
The Pip shows the view in the opposite direction. See adjacent photo for description.
Best large.
