Out for a paddle.

The wild coastal rocks of Bantham Bay, looking towards Thurlestone give these Kayakers some pictorial excitement as well as the thrill no doubt of avoiding them. For us, another great view and capture here.

Best full screen.

A wild rocky coast indeed, but I think I'd be keeping a little further out with my kayak!

Herb Riddle replied to tiabunna:

Thanks George. Probably more room that what it appears here with my long lens.

Herb Riddle replied to Steve Paxton:

And, it can get pretty stormy here Steve. Some of the worst sea's in Britain on this bit of coast.

The kayakers give great scale to the rocks and the light on them looks beautiful, enhancing their shape and colour. Another great shot. Cheers, Rosa.

Was it as cold as it looks?

Herb Riddle replied to Eva Lewitus:

Certainly not Eva. It was about 24c, but the sun was hidden by clouds. This is a flat looking shadowless scene here taken whilst the clouds had covered up the sun again. Lots of our coastline and indeed the sea's look grey and cold under these conditions.
