A Rossbeigh sunset

The tide has started to go back out. These poles, that may one day have been a pier of sorts give our eyes a suitable anchor to the joyous sunset.

An extraordinarily beautiful sunset Herb - the sky is stunning and the light and colours reflected on the water are just gorgeous. The silhouetted poles work very well in the foreground and lead the eye nicely into the shot. Viewed large you can see the amount of detail in the shadows.

Top notch photography..!!

Herb Riddle replied to Keith Burton:

Hello again Keith. Another in my Rossbeigh series. On looking at these now, i realise how lucky we were to be staying at such a remarkably interesting and well lit place. Of course I am very happy that you enjoyed this and see in it exactly what I see too. As you say, much better full screened. Another one or two from here still to go. My goodness -I it seems that I took a lot of nice shots (in my own opinion) on that two week holiday!

See you soon, Herb

Hi Herb,

A wonderful shot here! Beautiful red sky reflected in the water, and those big black pieces of wood thrusting up from the water making such a contrast. My guess is that they are old groynes, but they do make for a great foreground object!!
Big star coming!!

Best Wishes
Peter
