Full Moon

What can you do when you have no clouds clear skies but you are at home because its a full moon. This is very basic alignment and 33 shots taken on the tracker on moon mode and stacked together. Enjoy a Full moon taken just after it came up over the roof at 8pm.

This is well worth looking at it full size on black.

Steve Paxton replied to John Goodwin:

the tracker worked perfectly all the shots are in the very same place despite moon movement. So the moon now has some use, many thanks.

not quite as good as a 600mm prime but good enough for my budget , a lot of detail on the surface.

Hi Steve

A superb result here. I am totally amazed by the clarity you get. For us moon rise is pretty well always unusable due to the haze..
Of course the moon is orientated differently for you guys 'down under' too!!

Best Wishes, and a good weekend

Steve Paxton replied to Peter_Private_Box:

Peter the clarity is due to the winter rains and the cold, why stars look better in winter and this moon. remember this is shot from in the city limits from my back yard.

Its only a Paper Moon

down low in the dust of summer dry early evening as well.

yes our moon is a different orientation the reverse of yours.
