Such a lovely looking squirrel.......obviously enjoying those treats.............a great shot sir!
Grey squirrels are considered an invasive species here in the UK and are responsible for almost wiping out the Red Squirrels. I still like them though...........it ain't their fault they were introduced to this country and are only doing what squirrels do!
I have several who are regular visitors to the garden..........although they've not been around much this year.......mainly because we're not putting out as much bird food as we used to, so they've probably found another sucker to spoil them :-)))
Thank you very much, Keith. These squirrels are native here. Their population has increased greatly since they discovered a reliable source of sunflower seeds. There is another native species of squirrel here, the fox squirrel, that lives deeper in the forest. They have red fur (like a fox). I've never seen them at this feeder.
