Der Schmetterling Kleines Wiesenvögelchen (Coenonympha pamphilus) lebt in allen möglichen Wiesentypen und Graslandschaften und ist weit verbreitet. Aufgrund des breiten Spektrums an Futterpflanzen (v.a. Gräser) für die Raupen und einer großen Artenzahl von Nektar-Futterpflanzen für die Schmetterlinge, ist das Kleine Wiesenvögelchen fast in ganz Europa verbreitet. Da es mehrere Generationen pro Jahr ausbildet, kann man es nahezu ganzjährig beobachten. Es ist 23 - 33 mm groß.

Due to the wide range of food plants (mainly grasses) for the caterpillars and a large number of species of nectar food plants for the butterflies, the small heath is distributed almost all over Europe. As it produces several generations per year, it can be observed almost all year round. It is 23 - 33 mm in size.
