This looks very ornate, I cannot imagine it was ever used! The view over to Arran is intriguing.
We once visited Arran and then spent the whole day in Brodick Castle because it rained only once that day, so I cannot say I have seen much of Arran...;-)

A fantastic "detail" shot of this old cannon Amelia.............I love the way it has weathered especially the wooden parts. A wonderful view out to sea from there as well, by the look of it.

It has beautiful 'trimmings' Amelia. I was also wondering if it had ever been used. It is in great condition. Love the blue line of the sea and a very nice blue sky!
