Newborough Beach, Anglesey

To get to this beach one must pay a toll of £5, which might seem excessive, but the walk is worth every penny. Excellent parking (and clean toilets), and a place where one should spend at least a whole day exploring. Unfortunately we didn't have the luxury of time, but will definitely visit again.

To me, it would be well worth a fiver to have a beach like this to myself!

A lovely shot Amelia................I like the use of the waters edge as a leading line!

I'm not averse to paying if there are good facilities and it means the beach is quieter. This looks beautiful and well worth a visit.

A lovely image of a very pleasant beach, but the concept of paying to visit one is unknown here.

Amelia replied to tiabunna:

Well, George, if one was prepared for a long walk before one got to the beach, then it's entirely free, like most beaches in the UK. I think it was the well maintained car park that was paid for, and we often pay car park charges when visiting beaches. The UK is very overcrowded, compared to Australia. :-))

Lovely perspective along the line of the beach Amelia, showing the wide open space to best advantage. Well worth a fiver!

Paying 5 quid for such a great looking and empty beach seems worth it!
