Dear members and friends of ipernity,

1. For the first time, there was the opportunity to score the pictures for the ipernity homepage. Of the 40 proposals, the 30 best will be taken. The 10 dropped pictures have been replaced by new proposals from the community. The resulting compilation can be found in the album Homepage Autumn Collection.

2. We invite you now to post your best pictures from this summer for the homepage in the group Ipernity Homepage - Picture Proposals. Please note the requirements for these pictures.

3. Also on the theme of 'Best pictures', the access to 'Your favorite...' has been improved. The main menu now has a 'Favorites' drop-down, to access your own favorites, or those of others when you are visiting.

In addition, the drop-down list of names underneath 'Everyone' has been improved. The list was previously restricted to only include the authors of the 100 items most recently awarded a gold star. It now has all the names in alphabetic order, and the addition of a tally.


4. Get ready for the annual World Photography Day (official website), Friday, August 19. Once again the ima team will organise a club event on this occasion via the group World Photography Day. There you can also enjoy last year's contributions and be inspired.
