⭐ Characters (symbols)
Ipernity uses UTF-8, which does not support all latest Unicode symbols. The followings should at least work:

▀ ▁ ▂ ▃ ▄ ▅ ▆ ▇ █ ▉ ▊ ▋ ▌ ▍ ▎ ▏ ▐ ░ ▒ ▓ ▔ ▕ ▖ ▗ ▘ ▙ ▚ ▛ ▜ ▝ ▞ ▟ ■ □ ▢ ▣ ▤ ▥ ▦ ▧ ▨ ▩ ▪ ▫ ▬ ▭ ▮ ▯ ▰ ▱ ▲ △ ▲ ▵ ▶ ▷ ▸ ▹ ► ▻ ▼ ▽ ▼ ▿ ◀ ◁ ◂ ◃ ◄ ◅ ◆ ◇ ◈ ◉ ◊ ○ ◌ ◍ ◎ ● ◐ ◑ ◒ ◓ ◔ ◕ ◖ ◗ ◘ ◙ ◚ ◛ ◜ ◝ ◞ ◟ ◠ ◡ ◢ ◣ ◤ ◥ ◦ ◧ ◨ ◩ ◪ ◫ ◬ ◭ ◮ ◯ ◰ ◱ ◲ ◳ ◴ ◵ ◶ ◷ ◸ ◹ ◺ ◻ ◼ ◽ ◾ ◿ ☄ ★ ☆ ☇ ☈ ☊ ☋ ☌ ☍ ☎ ☏ ☐ ☑ ☒ ☓ ☔ ☕ ☖ ☗ ☘ ☙ ❧ ☚ ☛ ☜ ☝ ☞ ☟ ☠ ☡ ☢ ☣ ☤ ☥ ☦ ☧ ☨ ☩ ☪ ☫ ☬ ☭ ☮ ☯ ☰ ☱ ☲ ☳ ☴ ☵ ☶ ☷ ☸ ☹ ☺ ☻ ♧ ♨ ♰ ♱ ♲ ♳ ♴ ♵ ♶ ♷ ♸ ♹ ♺ ♻ ♼ ♽ ♾ ✁ ✂ ✃ ✄ ✅ ✆ ✇ ✈ ✉ ✊ ✋ ✌ ✍ ✎ ✏ ⛾ © ⚿ ✔ ← → ⋮⌛ ⛔ ❌

How these symbols become displayed on different operating systems and browsers also varies.

Indeed there are =)

The point of this post is to test characters that can be found useful on comments.

For example I can use this ☰ I Ching trigram when I need to instruct someone to access the menu symbol used on some user interfaces.

Unfortunately number of later unicode characters are not used, like the emoticons:

Presumably a lot depends upon which Code pages a user has installed on their computer, I have many because I hate opening a web page to be greeted byrows of empty square boxes.

I personally find these useful:

I Chin symbol ☰ to instruct what the menu symbol used here at Ipernity looks like.

Arrows like ▷ used instead of > and < to avoid mixing them with html code symbols.

Yes, those code pages are needed as well. But most computers and operating system majority of users have are already capable to handle at least UTF-8. And in case of Ipernity that is the bottle neck. No fancy emojis available because of that limitation, which can be either good or bad, depending on the point of view ;-)

What I often like to have and use, are bullets and arrows, and that is why I posted this article. It gives me rather quick access to those special characters ☕
